In this primary source it talks about how there is a mutiny or a rebellion in the fleet. It also talks about how a soldier was shot and rushed to a nearby hospital, not only was he sent to the hospital but four others were also sent. Someone will be hanged in this message sent by the primary source. Finally, this source gives way about how people were being prosecuted for the attempted murders of the soldiers. This article links into the novel Charlotte Temple by talking about the “fleet.” This is important while tying it into the novel because the town Portsmouth, which the naval men were on their way to. This is also important because the family was a Naval family, and that is how they ended up going to America and New York.
