This article is about cottages in the suburbs of Boston. It gives us alot of charactistics of the cottages, It goes into description of many key features that people who live there would only know. It relates to the lamplighter because there was a cottage out there that Gerty went to and it was important part of the story, and a key place to the story. It also had many features that only the people who knew about it could see, and had its own symbolic meaning.
