Description
In this primary source it talks about how in Grand Central Station there is always a plethora of people. “The enormous volume of traffic which it has to accommodate has for many years proved too much for the capacity of the station yard.” This article is saying that surprisingly the second largest city on Earth that there is only one train station. This article links to The House of Mirth because on the first page Selden finds Miss Lily Bart. I find this amazing while in this article it is saying that it is hard to find anyone in Grand Central Station because of how many people inhabit the station at once. This article makes it seem like it is nearly impossible to find someone that you are looking for in this station. Selden on the other hand was not even purposefully looking for Miss Lily Bart, but he spotted her and fell in love.
