In it, are several mentions of Fleet Prison – the prison in which Mr. Eldridge was held in Charlotte Temple. One particular example includes two separate trials of Thomas Bambridge, a Fleet Prison warden at the time. His charges include the murder of an inmate and a felony for stealing goods. This journal is enlightening in our understanding of the Fleet Prison state of affairs at the time about when Mr. Eldridge would have inhabited it.
