The Grand Central Station Terminal Improvements- the area is Grand Central Station and my article the vast construction that went on in 1905. Grand Central Station was a huge construction job they made a two-mile long tunnel. Also another big change would be that only passenger trains were able to access the station and that stone carts would no longer be able to access the station, which will increase the amount of passenger trains and the ability to increase more travel in and out of the station. This project was impressive with the amount of steel bars being used as well as the vast amounts of stone. This relates to the book because Lily got off at Grand Central station, in the book they described New York city as an ugly city but never mentioned Grand Central Station as being ugly. Lily’s opinion of the city though may have been directed towards the amount of construction that was going on in and around Grand Central Station.
