This article gives a description about the New Grand Central Station and also provides images of the outside and inside of the building. Specifically, the Grand Central consists of nearly 70 acres. The main terminal at the station is for outgoing passengers only. “The principle waiting room is two hundred ft. long, eighty ft. wide and fifty ft. high with cream colored walls ornamented only with mas of the two railroad systems which use the terminal. Under the main waiting-room is the Suburban waiting-room, which is a little smaller. The outward bound travelers do not see any of the incoming passengers. In the beginning of The House of Mirth it opens up with Selden watching Lily as if she was about to board a train at Grand Central.
